Children in Afghanistan need your help

Afghanistan has long been one of the most dangerous places to be a child. War, destruction and loss have left children, families and communities in extremely vulnerable conditions. The escalation of violence in the country makes their situation even more desperate as more children continue to be affected by Severe Acute Malnutrition and in urgent need of life-saving treatment.

Families are fleeing their homes, children are being recruited by armed groups and are severely traumatized after witnessing atrocities no human being should see. More than one million children under 5 year will suffer from malnutrition if we don’t do something right now.

UNICEF has been working in Afghanistan for the past 65 years and will continue to do so, no matter what.

We’re committed to stay and deliver and we hope you will join us.

So far in 2021, UNICEF helped 1.7 million people through humanitarian assistance, but much more aid is needed when facing this new scenario. UNICEF is urgently scaling-up its response to deliver life-saving health and nutrition supplies.

People in Afghanistan need this help, and they need it now.

Your donation will help UNICEF provide emergency WASH services to people, including displaced families. It will help supply ready-to-use therapeutic food to severely malnourished children.

It will help provide essential health services through mobile health teams and support COVID-19 vaccinations across the country.

And it will help us give humanitarian cash assistance to families who are in desperate need.

Children shouldn’t be paying such a heavy price. We must protect the lives of children in Afghanistan.

Please donate today and help us continue to make this impact.
