Give hope to children like Elisabeta and Nadia

In a village in Neamț County, Elisabeta plays an electric piano with emotion. She is six years old, loves music, and is not afraid of new things or people. Next to her is her younger sister, Nadia, who is four years old.

Elisabeta and Nadia live with autism spectrum disorders. For Elisabeta, the difficulties were visible from the beginning: she spoke very little, had pronunciation problems, and difficulties understanding and integrating into a group.

Nadia faces similar challenges. She has language delays, coordination difficulties, and finds it hard to respond verbally in certain situations.

Their mother is a personal assistant and takes care of the girls full-time. The family is also supported by their grandmother.

They need therapy for motor skills, coordination, and cognitive development, as well as individual therapy, speech therapy, specialized monitoring, and adapted educational support. All of this requires time, travel, and costs that are difficult for the family to bear.

The community social worker is with them every step of the way. She helped the family with the paperwork needed to get disability status and benefits, and she visits the family regularly for monitoring.

Today, you can make a difference for Elisabeta, Nadia, and other children like them. The support provided by social workers helps vulnerable families move forward and build a more stable future.

Help Elisabeta, Nadia, and other children access the services they need with the help of social workers.

Thank you!

Vulnerable children’s lives can be improved with your constant support. By donating, you become an active part of the solution and of the change process.

The money raised is used where it is needed for vulnerable children. For example, to provide free access to specialized services for vulnerable children in Romania or offer a rapid and effective response to children affected by wars and natural disasters.

UNICEF asks for monthly contributions to help us provide sustainable long-term solutions to help children around the world.

Please note that the stories of children and price point descriptions mentioned (if any) are to illustrate activities and the impact your donation can make on the lives of vulnerable children from Romania and around the world. UNICEF, based on the needs on the ground, will allocate resources to areas that need funds the most.

A monthly gift is a recurring gift amount that you choose to send each month, and it is even more impactful because you're helping children every single day.

Your monthly gift will also enable us to plan effectively in our upcoming work, reduce costs and most importantly, reach even more children in need. The support and generosity of monthly donors contribute significantly to UNICEF efforts to help vulnerable children.
