Help Sophia and other children like her

In a village in Neamț County, Sophia, a four-year-old girl, watches from the window as several children play outside.

She lives with her mother and brother in a single room in her grandparents' house, shared with other family members.

Sophia suffers from a serious condition that makes her extremely fragile. She weighs almost 9 kg, gets tired quickly, and every step must be taken with great care to avoid fractures.

The family was helped by the community social worker, who guided them in obtaining benefits for the girl. The social worker also informed them of the steps necessary for Sophia to be able to safely attend kindergarten with her mother.

In the lives of Sophia and thousands of other vulnerable children in Romania, social workers play an essential role in helping children progress and vulnerable families live better lives. Social workers discreetly and professionally build bridges to services and resources that many families would not be able to cope without.

You too can stand by Sophia and other children in vulnerable situations.

Help Sophia and other children like her access the services they need, with the help of social workers.

Thank you.
