Children in the Horn of Africa have been pushed to the brink due to one of the worst climate-induced water and drought emergencies of the past 40 years. The continuous drought has caused severe water shortages, crop failures, and livestock shortages, putting nearly 20 million people at risk of hunger in countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia.
The impact of the war in Ukraine is tipping more families in the Horn of Africa over the edge, with rising global inflation, increasing food and fuel prices and reduced availability of wheat imports. Many families can no longer afford the basics they need to survive.
Once again, children are paying the highest price in a catastrophe they had nothing to do with. Today, over 10 million children are facing severe drought conditions and are at risk of dying from hunger. Now more than ever, they need immediate help from people like you to overcome these drastic conditions.
