We cannot give up on hope for them

Over 1.8 million children in Iraq still need urgent humanitarian aid. Many have fled from violence and remain displaced in camps. Those who are trying to return to their homes with their families face insecurity and a lack of access to public services.

"All my dreams end when I get out of the house and see all this ruin," says 11-year-old Aysha. She lives in western Mosul, Iraq. "Everything here needs to be rehabilitated" she said.

In addition to the challenges that Iraqi children like Aysha still face after years of conflict and violence, now the Covid-19 pandemic is making them even more vulnerable.

No matter how difficult and dangerous the situation, there is a lot you can do to protect Iraqi children and give them a hopeful future.

Together with UNICEF, you can:

  • Provide children with safe water and hygiene supplies so they can stay healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Between April and June, UNICEF distributed 128,558 hygiene kits to vulnerable households in 59 camps and informal settlements to help prevent spread of COVID-19.
  • Support the future of 10 million children whose education has been disrupted by Covid-19. Your donation will go towards rehabilitating schools, supporting disinfection, providing home schooling materials, distant training for teachers and setting up e-learning platforms for children.
  • Provide children with long lasting support to rebuild their lives, through education, psychosocial support and by providing safe spaces for them to play.

Send life-saving relief to Iraqi children

The children of Iraq are amazingly resilient. With your help, they can build a better future and better world. Your generosity is an act of charity that can make a world of difference for the children who need it most. Thank you!
