Haiti Earthquake Emergency

Once again, Haiti has been struck by a natural disaster. A new earthquake shook the south of the country causing serious damage, injuries and casualties on hundreds of families. The 7.2 magnitude earthquake collapsed homes, schools, hospitals and roads, putting the lives of thousands of children at risk.

Time is vital under these circumstances. We urgently need your help. Please donate now.

With homes and hospitals shattered, communities are forced to look shelter elsewhere, which could spike cases in COVID-19 in an already overburdened health system.

Families fear possible aftershocks and are also threatened by a tropical storm which is supposed to hit the country in the next couple of days. These heavy winds and rains could aggravate the already dire situation and put the lives of thousands of people at risk.

Children and families are in urgent need of shelter, clean water, medical care and protection. UNICEF staff is present on the ground assessing the situation and providing assistance to the most affected families.

We’ve been witnesses to people’s generosity in Haiti’s 2010 earthquake. Today, thousands of children need our help again.
