Stay with children this winter.
Winter brings added hardship for children living through crisis. As temperatures drop, many families are facing cold nights in damaged homes, makeshift shelters, or temporary learning spaces — with limited protection from wind, rain, and freezing conditions. Without warmth, children are more vulnerable to illness and struggle to stay safe, healthy, and able to learn.
UNICEF is working across emergency-affected communities to help protect children from the cold. From winter clothing kits, blankets, and heating support to restoring water and energy systems that keep schools and shelters warm, this support helps children endure the harshest months with dignity and care. When you give monthly, you provide steady, reliable support that allows UNICEF to stay with children throughout winter — delivering warmth, protection, and essential services again and again, when they are needed most.
Two-year-old Yazan, severely malnourished, lives in the Shati (Beach) refugee camp in Gaza City. His mother, Naima, says, “We have not had flour or any food assistance for two months.” Yazan sits on a torn piece of foam, his wide eyes heavy with exhaustion, his thin body clearly showing signs of acute hunger. Malnutrition has spread rapidly among children in the Gaza Strip, with rates in Gaza City rising fourfold since February.
"We have not had flour or any food assistance for two months."

Famine is a grim reality. Children like Yazan, already suffering from severe malnutrition, are on the brink of starvation. Parents are skipping meals just to feed their children.

Children caught in escalating violence in Lebanon
UNICEF Lebanon is delivering critical aid and support in Lebanon following the recent escalation of hostilities
As violence intensifies across Lebanon, children and families are once again bearing the heaviest burden. Ongoing airstrikes and ground clashes across multiple regions have forced over 1.1 million people—nearly 390,000 of them children—to flee their homes, often with no time to prepare or gather essential belongings. Hundreds of shelters, many in public schools, are now overcrowded, leaving families in urgent need of basic supplies, healthcare, safe water and psychosocial support.
With more than 1,268 lives lost and thousands injured, including many children, this crisis is unfolding on top of years of instability that have already deeply affected communities. In response, UNICEF is working alongside national authorities and partners to scale up life-saving support, providing essential items, access to healthcare, clean water and sanitation, and ensuring that children continue to receive education and protection.
Despite the immense challenges, UNICEF remains committed to reaching every child and family in need with critical care and support during this emergency.

UNICEF trucks brought critical supplies including 10,800 family hygiene kits, water tanks and collapsible tanks for 2,500 people, 577,500 sanitary pads, 69,960 bottles of ready-to-use formula for 500 infants, various medical kits and supplementary foods for 55,000 people.
UNICEF has been delivering a range of essential nutrition supplies including, amongst other essentials, high energy biscuits for young children and micronutrient supplementation for children and pregnant and breastfeeding women. UNICEF is also working with partners to conduct screenings in shelters and healthcare facilities for acute malnutrition.
