Help Ana Maria and other children like her to lead their best life

Ana Maria has Down Syndrome, autism, and diabetes, making her life really tough and her needs extremely complex. To lead her best life, she needs access to different types of therapy, but these services are not easily accessible.

UNICEF in Romania supports children with disabilities like Ana Maria, through the development of Integrated Community Centers. In these centers, children can access free of charge specialized services, like:

  • physical therapy;
  • speech therapy;
  • psychological counseling.

There are currently five such centers in the country and we need your help to provide specialized services to children in need.

Funds collected can be used, without prior warning, to support UNICEF projects, both locally and internationally, dedicated to vulnerable, marginalized children, or in emergency situations.

Based on the Cooperation Framework Agreement, dated 06/21/1992, published in the Official Romanian Monitor, part I, no. 136 of 19/06/1992, between the Government of Romania and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the Country Programme Action Plan 2023-2027, Part IX, art. 78, the Romanian Government will support UNICEF’s efforts to raise funds required to meet the financial needs of the Programme of Cooperation and will cooperate with UNICEF by permitting contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations in Romania to support this programme which will be tax-exempt as per the relevant European and Romanian law.
