Why is it essential to donate for Gaza now?
The ceasefire in Gaza opens an urgent opportunity to save lives.
For months, delivering humanitarian aid was extremely difficult. Even so, every day UNICEF continued supporting children and adolescents with the resources available.
Today, it’s possible to scale up the response and deliver more food, water, medicine, and shelter to support families who have lost everything.

Together, we’re bringing hope and healing to Gaza’s children
Famine is now one of the greatest threats to children in Gaza
All children under the age of 5 are at risk of acute malnutrition. They urgently need nutritional treatment to survive.
Your donation today is vital because:
- It helps sustain humanitarian assistance in Gaza: food, water, shelter, vaccines, and first aid kits.
- It supports our teams who remain inside Gaza, providing every possible form of support to affected children and families.
Every minute counts. Help us save lives now.
Immediate priorities
Vaccination: 100,000 children have lost access to essential vaccines. Every dose we manage to deliver can prevent deadly diseases.
Neonatal care: The number of beds for newborns has been cut in half. We urgently need to expand intensive care units so that every baby has a chance to live.
Maternal and child health: Over 11,000 pregnant women need safe medical care, and thousands of newborns depend on our ability to reach them in time.
Child malnutrition: We have screened more than 506,000 children; 19,000 are already receiving treatment for acute malnutrition. Each day without adequate food puts more lives at risk.
Maternal nutrition: 147,000 pregnant and breastfeeding mothers need support to feed themselves and their babies. More than a thousand are already receiving treatment for malnutrition.
Restoring mobility: Among the 4,700 recorded amputations, one-third are children. Rehabilitation and assistive devices can help them regain independence and dignity.
Scaling up the humanitarian response
UNICEF and its partners are responding with a total of 1,300 trucks loaded with essential supplies – including food, water, sanitation (WASH), health, education, and psychosocial support for children and families in urgent need. Another 700 trucks are ready to follow.
UNICEF’s additional efforts:
- Maintain and increase water production in the south, expand it in the north, and strengthen distribution and household-level storage.
- Raise awareness among children and caregivers about the risks of explosive devices and family separation, while expanding psychosocial support activities.
- Support families on the move to prevent separation and continue the family reunification programme launched last year.
WHY DONATE MONTHLY?
The continuity of services is essential
We are very grateful for any and all donations we receive. However, monthly donations are what allow us to continue our long-term programmes to help the most vulnerable children, as well as being our greatest help in emergencies, as they guarantee quick action to save lives.
Your monthly support means we can plan ahead, deliver consistent care, and bring hope to children in Gaza, the wider State of Palestine, and around the world – even in the most difficult places.
Every gift, no matter the size, creates lasting change. Together, we can give children the protection, opportunities, and future they deserve.
