The Challenge: Children and adolescents in Mozambique are experiencing multiple challenges related to poverty, lack of access to services, climate, and other humanitarian shocks, all of which severely impact their physical and psychological wellbeing. In 2024, 3.4 million children in Mozambique urgently needed humanitarian aid and protection — their lives disrupted by climate disasters and conflict.
The Solution: UNICEF works alongside governments and partners to strengthen the resilience of children and young people in the face of climate and water challenges. This involves safeguarding children by enhancing essential services, equipping them with the skills to adapt, and ensuring they are prioritized in financial and resource allocations related to climate initiatives.
You have the power to change a life of a child in Mozambique.
With your generosity, children not only survive — they have a chance at a brighter future.
Be the change. Help create a brighter future for children in Mozambique.
UNICEF is taking action to protect children from the growing threats of the climate and water crisis. Together with governments and partners, we are helping children build resilience and thrive. Here's how:
Your generosity helps make this possible—thank you for being part of the solution. The time to act is now — because children are the future.
We’ve joined forces with the civil society, businesses, academia, and the government, but without your support, we can't reach every child in need.

You choose for how long you wish to donate: monthly or only once. In order to contribute to a fundamental change in the lives of vulnerable children, the longer you choose to get involved, the more powerful your donation will be. Vulnerable children’s lives can improve if you are a part of and contribute to the work that we are doing, and to the solutions that we are providing. By donating, you become an active part of the solution and change process.
A monthly donation is a recurring gift amount that you choose to send each month, and it is even more impactful, as this means that you'll be helping children every single day.
Your monthly gift will also enable us to plan effectively in our upcoming work, reduce costs and most importantly, reach even more children in need. The support and generosity of monthly donors contribute significantly to UNICEF's efforts to help vulnerable children.
Your donation is used to support UNICEF's programmes for children in need in Mozambique.
UNICEF encourages monthly donations to help us deliver sustainable, long-term solutions for children both in the region and globally.
