Join us as we lead the supply of the most awaited vaccine: Covid-19

Covid-19 has changed the world we live in and our daily lives. A vaccine can have the same effect, and we know it very well. Every year, we vaccinate half of the world’s children, and now, in 2020 and the months ahead, UNICEF will be the lead to procure and supply the most awaited vaccine to fight Covid-19.

In the next few months, millions of lives threatened by Covid-19 could be saved with a vaccine and the efforts to achieve this goal have already started. UNICEF is getting ready to lead the procurement and supply of COVID-19 vaccines around the world. This will be the world’s largest and fastest immunization operation ever-even for us, an organization with decades of expertise, providing life-saving vaccines to children around the world.

“This is an all-hands on deck partnership between governments, manufacturers and multilateral partners to continue the high-stakes fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In our collective pursuit of a vaccine, UNICEF is leveraging its unique strengths in vaccine supply to make sure that all countries have safe, fast and equitable access to the initial doses when they are available.”

Henrietta Fore, UNICEF Executive Director.

Every year, we reach millions of children with life-saving vaccines to fight diseases such as measles, pneumonia or rubella. The Covid-19 vaccine will soon be included in what will become a work on an unprecedented scale. While we prepare for this large-scale operation, keeping children healthy matters more than ever and we’re committed to continue to vaccinate children against deadly diseases

Vaccinations save 2 to 3 million children each year from deadly childhood diseases like measles, diarrhoea and pneumonia. You can be a part of this today.
