Provide Urgent Care During Emergencies and Disaster

Protect the world's most vulnerable children.

1 in 4 children in the world live in regions affected by conflict or natural disasters. They are in danger.

This is why UNICEF is on the front lines, wherever these emergencies happen, providing immediate life-saving care and supplies, as well as long-term support to help families rebuild their lives.

Your donation helps us act immediately in emergencies.

With your help, we can protect the most vulnerable.

Children in emergencies become much more vulnerable to abuse and exploitation. So, in addition to life-saving supplies, we work so that these children are safe, and regain a sense of normalcy.

Quick response and long-term support

190 million children in the world face conflicts, natural disasters, health crisis and other emergencies. These situations can leave children without their families, without food, water, education, or medicines. When disasters strike, children are the most vulnerable.

Nuran and her family were forced to flee escalating violence in their hometown in rural Aleppo over two years ago, seeking safety at the Mahmoudly camp in northeastern Syria. “We need water for personal hygiene but also to protect ourselves against diseases including coronavirus,” she explains. She fetches drinking water for her family from a tank installed by UNICEF. “After the water-pumping station was installed, we now have access to water every day,” Nuran adds.

What does your donation achieve?

Your donation makes it possible for us to act in the first moments of a crisis, when immediate action is required, as well as in protracted situations, providing education, food, and protection.

In 2021 we aim to help 190 million children in emergencies, in 149 countries and territories.

We have more than 75 years of experience in reaching the most vulnerable. Your donation allows us to continue helping children in emergencies, even in the most remote places. Thank you.
