Let’s do something. We can make a difference in these children’s lives!

Dear friends,

You know I don’t know that much about computers, but UNICEF helped me to create this page for you, because I felt I needed to share this personal message as quickly as possible.

I want to ask you to join me in making a very simple and meaningful donation to help the children of Syria.

Your donation will be private and just between you, me and UNICEF. UNICEF won’t contact you again for money. They will ensure that your generous donation reaches the most needed children in the region. You are in good hands.

I’m still humbled and moved by the conversations I had a few weeks ago with Syrian families living in Lebanon. I met so many children there! So many stories, so much suffering but also resilience… I can’t explain what it is like to be inside one those tents. You simply have to experience it. Sitting there with them, listening to their harrowing stories, I knew I needed to do something to help.

Thousands of Syrian children have spent their childhood in exile, in harsh conditions, and with limited access to basic services. Some of them have even been born in these makeshift camps.

Just imagining what these children go through when winter comes, makes me feel uneasy. In winter it rains in torrents and it freezes. The water seeps underneath the side flaps of the tents and it comes in all over the floor where they sleep. Can you imagine living like this?

Together we can make a difference.

When I travelled to Lebanon with UNICEF recently, I could see how much they are doing to improve the living conditions of these children. UNICEF is shielding children from the cold and frigid conditions. Donations provide children with winter clothing kits, blankets, cash transfers to heat their homes, and essential items like medical supplies and services.

They will need as much support as possible, because the needs are enormous. About 1.3 million children need your support to stay warm this winter.

Please, if you also feel we can do something and make a difference in their lives, make a donation today.

Thanks for reading my message and for your support.
