The situation in Lebanon is critical
"Children deserve stability, hope, and a chance to rebuild their futures. UNICEF will continue to stand with them every step of the way." -Catherine Russell, UNICEF Executive Director
In the aftermath of the conflict, thousands of children and families—many from the southern border areas—remain displaced. Living in makeshift shelters or unsafe conditions, they urgently need basic necessities like food, clean water, health care, and a safe place to recover.
What UNICEF is doing?
UNICEF is on the ground responding to the immediate needs of children and families.
“UNICEF stands ready to support early recovery efforts, providing resources and expertise to rebuild water systems, primary health care, schools and other services children rely on.” -Catherine Russell, UNICEF Executive Director
So far, UNICEF has delivered:
- Urgent life-saving medical aid: 100 tons of emergency medical supplies to hospitals facing severe shortages and have more medical supplies on the way
- Clean and safe water: distributing bottled water, maintaining and repairing water facilities in shelters in Tyre and Saida, with additional shelters to be supported
- Nutritional support: including supplements and complementary feeding jars.
- Essential supplies: including emergency hygiene kits, blankets, and sleeping bags in displacement shelters
Your donation today can provide essential supplies and life-saving care to children and families displaced by the conflict. Even a small amount can make a big difference.
