Gaza: Protection against disease
In November, UNICEF completed its second polio vaccination campaign in Gaza, reaching over 550,000 children under 10 years old. These vaccinations are a vital step in preventing the severe and lifelong effects of polio, which can significantly impact a child’s health and future.

Sudan: Treatment for malnutrition
Little Genan arrived emaciated at a UNICEF-supported hospital in Blue Nile State, Sudan. She was provided with nutrient-dense Ready-to-use-Therapeutic Food (RUTF) and is now doing well! With your support this year, UNICEF and partners provided malnutrition screening for 4.8 million (and life-saving treatment for 260,000!) children in Sudan.

Syria: Restoring mobility and hope
“I used to have many bruises on my legs because I would fall every time I tried to walk,” says Reem, a 15-year-old girl from Rural Damascus with a locomotor disability. Thanks to your support and UNICEF’s cash assistance, Reem resumed physiotherapy and can now walk to school with minimal help. Between January 2023 and July 2024, this programme supported 20,900 children with disabilities in Syria, giving families the resources to help rebuild their lives.

Ukraine: Warmth in harsh winters
Thanks to your support this year, UNICEF is able to prepare children and their families in Ukraine for another harsh winter. Your donations mean 1.4 million people (including 240,000 children!) can stay warm this winter thanks to warm clothing, blankets, and cash assistance to pay for heating and supplies.

Lebanon: Critical supplies and services
The escalation of hostilities that began on September 23 marked the deadliest period Lebanon has faced in decades, displacing hundreds of thousands. Between September and November, your support enabled UNICEF to reach nearly 120,000 people, including children, across 683 collective shelters with essentials like clean water, relief items, nutrition and health services, as well as learning and psychosocial support for children.

Yemen: Sustainable water solutions
Yemen is one of the world’s most water-scarce countries. This year, over 700,000 people gained access to safe drinking water through solutions like solar-powered projects, easing the burden on children forced to leave school to fetch water.
