There have been an unprecedented number of humanitarian emergencies unfolding around the world.

Anh Nguyet carries her younger sister, Vu Ha Anh, as they evacuate from the severe flood caused by Super Typhoon Yagi in Thai Nguyen City, Vietnam.
Conflicts, climate disasters, and public health crises are pushing millions of children into poverty, malnutrition, and vulnerability. These children are at a greater risk of hunger, disease, and losing access to education, robbing them of their futures.
From the escalating violence in Gaza and Lebanon to the devastating floods and landslides in Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand, children are on the front lines of these emergencies. In Sudan, conflict-driven famine deepens their suffering.

The conflict in the Gaza Strip is devastating for children. Over 14,000 have been killed, and thousands more are injured. All children face the trauma of war, which will leave lasting scars.
Approximately 1.9 million people—90% of Gaza’s population—are internally displaced, including many children. They lack access to water, food, fuel, and medicine, and many have lost their homes and loved ones.

Super Typhoon Yagi, one of the strongest typhoons to hit Southeast Asia in decades, has left a trail of destruction in multiple countries.
6 million children have been affected by the floods and landslides triggered by the typhoon in Vietnam, Myanmar, Lao PDR, and Thailand, compromising their access to clean water, education, health care, food and shelter.

In Sudan, 2.5 million children under the age of five suffer from malnutrition every year. Among them, 700,000 are severely malnourished and urgently need life-saving treatment.
These children are facing extreme hunger, leaving them vulnerable to disease, stunted growth, and even death. The situation is dire, and without immediate intervention, countless lives could be lost.
UNICEF, as a global leader in humanitarian relief, responds to hundreds of emergencies every year, delivering life-saving support, safeguarding children’s rights, and protecting them from harm.
You can donate today to help us respond swiftly to emergencies and save children’s lives.
