The reality facing millions of children
Child hunger and malnutrition
- 181 million children under 5 are in severe food poverty, making them up to 50% more likely to suffer from life-threatening malnutrition.
- In conflict-affected areas like the Gaza Strip, 9 out of 10 children survive on only two or fewer food groups per day.
No access to safe and clean water
- 2.2 billion people lack access to safely managed water, including 115 million who rely on rivers and lakes for drinking water.

Help save lives with RUTF
With RM60 per month, YOU save 25 children per month. RUTF is the abbreviation for “ready-to-use therapeutic food”, a life-saving essential supply item that treats severe wasting in children under 5 years old. Over 90% of children treated for severe acute malnutrition in UNICEF-supported nutrition centres recover.
How does RUTF work? It is made from powdered milk, peanuts, butter, vegetable oil, sugar, and a mix of vitamins and minerals. One RUTF sachet combines 500 calories and micronutrients. It can help an acutely malnourished child to regain strenth in about 6 weeks with just three packs a day.
