The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)
works in more than 190 countries and territories, saving children's lives, protecting their rights and helping them realize their potential from early childhood.
In Belarus, as in the rest of the world, UNICEF works through voluntary donations and cooperation aimed at achieving the best results for children.
Our mission is to work on changes in the health, education and social development systems so that EVERY CHILD is protected and supported whenever they need adult help.
Protection of children's rights
UNICEF in Belarus is fighting violence against children. We teach children and adults about countering violence and ways to ensure safety, tools and resources to help in the event of a collision with violence and bullying.
A family for every child
We promote deinstitutionalization — placement in families of children who are in residential institutions. We also help children to restore contact with their biological parents.
Early intervention system
We are developing an early intervention system. Its main task is to identify developmental disorders or risks of their occurrence in children under 3 years of age at an early stage and to support parents in case of violations.
Inclusion
We are developing an inclusive education system so that children with disabilities and additional educational needs go to kindergartens, study at school and develop together with their peers.
Mental Health
We are improving mental health services for adolescents and young people. More than 54 teen-friendly centers are working to provide free psychological assistance.

UNICEF supports families with children in emergency situations, including refugees and migrants.
