Education: No child should be left behind

Covid-19 pandemic is threatening much more than children´s health: their education has been put on hold and for many children in war-torn countries this situation could leave them even more vulnerable.

Children in Syria and Yemen have suffered years of war and now they face a new threat to continue their education: the Covid-19 pandemic. Their dreams and hopes are again hanging by a thread and many may not resume their education again if they don´t receive support now.

The longer the time children are not in school, the bigger the risk that they lose their interest in learning, forget what they learned before and may not go back, when schools re-open.

Dreams are not meant to be lost

UNICEF has been supporting children in these countries in times of war, and we will keep doing so in times of pandemics as well. We want to make sure that no child is left behind when it comes to learning, and we will keep supplying materials and supporting their teachers and communities so that they can keep learning, either from home or in the “new normal” reality in their countries.

Your donation will contribute to help children build their own future, no matter where they are or for how long this pandemic last. Because supporting a child´s right to learn means supporting their hopes and dreams too.
