Millions of children affected by conflict in Syria and the region will soon be facing an additional hardship: winter
Freezing temperatures and storms will sweep the region.
UNICEF needs your help to protect children from the cold, keep their schools warm.
Together, we can offer a glimmer of hope by providing blankets, shoes and winter clothing. We are providing heaters to schools and providing health services for children.
No Child Should Face the Cold
We are working to reach 1.5 million children affected by crises in Syria and the region with warm clothes and winter supplies. The most vulnerable children – the youngest, poorest and those living in besieged areas – need help most urgently.
Every Minute Counts to Keep a Child Warm
Please help us reach children before the cold hits.
With your support, this winter UNICEF aims to provide:
- Winter clothing kits to over 800,000 children across the region, including to families that have been displaced by recent fighting,
- Cash assistance to the families of more than 320,000 vulnerable children,
- Child friendly spaces and school heating for 105,000 children,
- Thermal blankets for almost 240,000 children.
