UNICEF and its partners are on the ground in Gaza delivering immediate humanitarian support

The ongoing surge of hostilities in the State of Palestine and Israel is taking a horrendous toll on the lives of children and their families.

They need urgent help to survive the crisis.

“In every war, the ones who suffer the most are children. This is tragically true today.”

Amongst security challenges, UNICEF and its partners are actively present in the Gaza Strip to provide immediate life-saving humanitarian support. We have distributed nearly all our prepositioned supplies and are working to keep the only functioning desalination plant in the entire Gaza Strip running at much-reduced capacity to provide safe water for 75,000 people, but without fuel, it could come to a halt soon.

Medical supplies and medicines have also been provided to hospitals, but given the number of injuries, hospital beds, and essential medicine—including anesthetics—are quickly running out.
