Help rush urgent aid to children and families in need

When an emergency like Libya floods strikes, every minute counts and your donation can make all the difference. We need your help to always be there for every child, whenever and wherever they’re in crisis.

On Sunday, 10 September 2023 Storm Daniel made landfall in Libya causing severe weather conditions, including strong winds and sudden heavy rainfall causing flash floods in several northeastern areas of Libya.

So far, more than 2,300 people have lost their lives in the Mediterranean coastal city of Derna alone and as reports continue to pour in by the minute, these numbers will rise rapidly.

What makes this crisis even more heart-wrenching is that many affected families were already displaced by the ongoing conflict in Libya. For them, this disaster compounds their loss and suffering.

When an emergency such as the floods in Libya or the Morocco earthquake strikes, it’s children who suffer the most.
