Why menstrual hygiene management is important?
Lack of adequate facilities and awareness causes stress in adolescent girls.
Many adolescent girls drop out of school and their attendance rate decreases. Their education is hindered.
Myths and taboos within communities make it difficult for girls to share their feelings, concerns, or doubts. This, in turn, affects their self-esteem.
UNICEF is helping and assisting in the following activities in schools -
