Emergency water trucking for children in crisis
Emergency water trucking for children in crisis
During emergencies and conflicts, like the ongoing war in Sudan and Gaza, water systems are often destroyed or contaminated, leaving children vulnerable to waterborne diseases. "Without this service we would be exposed to disease. The children and community are now happy," shares a displaced mother from Sudan. In the face of such devastation, your support will help UNICEF’s water trucking deliver clean water to children and families, meeting their urgent needs in these dire times.

Frequently asked questions

Last year UNICEF responded to more than 400 crises around the world, including the ones in Gaza, Sudan, and Syria.

Our ability to reach any part of the world with urgent relief – including clean and safe water, medical supplies, shelter, life-saving therapeutic food, and vaccines– is a testament to our collective commitment to every child in need.

When you give to UNICEF, you will be there for children in need by helping us:

  • Pre-position supplies in regions prone to emergencies due to climate or political sensitivities.

  • Prepare in advance and ensure the availability of funds for long-term solutions that will positively impact children.

  • Address the immediate and long-term needs of children by providing safe environments for play, learning, and medical assistance during and after the crisis.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to always be there for every child, whenever and wherever they’re in need.

The money raised is used where it is needed for children around the world. For example, to provide clean and safe water, essential nutrition support, and learning supplies for children in Yemen or Syria, offer a rapid and effective response to children affected in Gaza or Sudan.
